Experienced Competition Groom

Mount St John are looking for a reliable, hardworking, friendly team player with good horsemanship skills.

The role includes assisting with the day to day care of our competition horses. Confidence handling fit competing horses and youngsters is essential and a key part of this role. Experience of travelling with horses and grooming at national or ideally international level competitions, to include plaiting up, trimming, bandaging, clipping etc. HGV license would be beneficial. Our horses have a varied exercise programme, the role will include lunging, long lining, groundwork training and use of the aqua trainer on site is included for our range of young horses, potentially some riding and hacking for the right candidate. We are looking for someone who wants to be a key part in a world class team & to see horses they have worked with go on to achieve great things on the world stage due to their early training and nurture of them. Regular training and development is available in the role. Excellent accommodation available on site.
