Highly experienced and extremely honest competition pony for a knowledgeable, capable rider. Hero is a genuine, talented all-rounder with a fantastic attitude. My daughter has chosen to focus on show jumping, but similarly he has so been a fantastic Pony Club partner and has all the bravery and ability to make a fabulous eventer. Competing is where Hero really excels. He loves the atmosphere and occasion of show jumping, is not fazed by fillers, sound or busy venues, and has a fantastic attitude when in the ring. He is naturally fast against the clock and loves a jump off. He has show-jumped successfully in Ireland up to 110 however we now feel he is best suited to competing at 90cm - 1m, where he remains highly competitive. He has relatively few British Showjumping points, giving his next rider an excellent opportunity to progress with him through the relevant classes. We bought Hero two years ago for our then 12-year-old daughter to enjoy Pony Club, JFS and NSEA, while also dipping our toes into British Showjumping. In a relatively short time, he has taken her to some fantastic venues and achieved some excellent results, including: • Pony Club Spring Barrier Finals, Addington, (Placing 3rd in a class of 105) • Cricklands BS Schools Nationals • Blue Chip Winter Champs Addington • NSEA Hurst Champs Hickstead International Arena • BS Academy Champs at Stoneleigh, representing Sussex County • Blenheim Pony Club SJ Hero has a varied life. He is regularly schooled in flatwork; he is great to hack in open spaces both alone and with others and enjoys the gallops, XC and Arena eventing. He has been to numerous stay aways and pony camps around the country and just generally likes to be out and about. He is good to catch, load and travel. He is excellent for the farrier but requires sedation for clipping. He likes a straightforward routine and prefers to live out - but he is very comfortable in a stable when needed.
