Hunting Cob / Allrounder

Fun & Forward Hunting Cob!!

Bill 5YO (2021) Irish Cob Gelding 15.2h approx Bill has started his second season with us with the EDH. He has attended multiple busy meets, always standing politely for a port and a pasty. He has been brilliant with the hounds and enjoys watching them work. He is mannerly in the field & has proven bold to various hunt fences. Always happy to wait his turn but he’s up for the job at hand. He will ride away on point or turn away from the field at the end of the day without a single fuss. He is polite enough to ride at the back but equally he has no trouble keeping up at the front. Bill knows exactly what’s expected of him and is a fantastic hunting horse. He has been SJ training and XC schooling on grass & arena. He’s shown a bold and forward thinking attitude. He’s regularly used as a lead for inexperienced horses. He has shown the potential to have a competitive low level summer job with the right education! Bill has been educated in the importance of standing still at the pub!! He has attended multiple pleasure rides, remaining level headed throughout the day and unphased by his surroundings. He has been on multiple beach and moorland rides, loved swimming in the sea and has been used to lead young inexperienced horses on their first outings. Bill is regularly ridden alone and in company, used to accompany our children on their pony, ridden with the breakers on their first rides. Regularly ridden in heavy traffic and open spaces - he’s an exceptional hack and is pretty unflappable for his age! Bill’s education hasn’t been focused on flatwork, therefore he would be green in this discipline. He is a gentleman to handle on the ground and we’ve found him a very easy person to have around. Will stand to be clipped from his ear to his hoof. Good for the farrier and always the first at the gate in the morning. Bill is BRILLIANT fun to ride!! He wouldn’t suit a nervous rider, we have found no badness to him whatsoever but he deserves someone that loves having fun as much as he does! His production & education with us will continue until sold.
