Sole charge groom from October

We are a happy, friendly family yard looking for a long‑term sole charge groom to join us from October. We run a relaxed but professional private yard where humour, flexibility and good communication are part of everyday life — and the right person will genuinely be treated like one of the family. You’ll have five horses to care for on a sole‑charge basis, including hunters and young stock. All usual yard duties apply, along with turnout, plaiting, clipping, and being confident riding or lunging large, fit horses. Ability to drive a 7.5t lorry is essential. Our yard is well‑equipped, and you’ll have use of the quad and attachments (poo sweeper, topper, roller, arena leveller, strimmer etc.) to help keep everything running smoothly. This is a 30‑hour pw employed role, including some Saturdays. For the right candidate, we may also consider a full‑time role. We offer: A lovely two‑bed cottage with all bills included. Salary, 4 weeks paid holiday, and pension. Opportunities for hunting and schooling if desired. A long‑term, stable position with owners who appreciate good work and attention to detail. An unflappable nature helps — horses will be horses, and ours are no exception! Our former groom highly recommends the position. Dog welcome, but sadly no space for a horse. Must already be resident in the UK.
