SMART Hunter

He has hunted for two seasons with us and this is where he really excels. He is happy going in the field with others or heading off on point, and he has also helped whip in with a male jockey, which he absolutely loves as he enjoys being kept busy and on the move. He is not a novice ride out hunting and needs a confident, competent rider. He can be a little opinionated when hacking, but with the right rider he is manageable and just needs someone to ride him positively and keep him moving forward. Away from hunting, Jon has completed an unaffiliated event clear and has done a handful of unaffiliated showjumping. I have team chased him multiple times going round clear. He is an extremely careful jumper and will happily jump all sorts, from ditches to hedges. He has three lovely paces and goes really nicely on the flat. He is a genuine horse with plenty to offer and would suit someone looking for an active, fun horse with hunting as a main focus. No vices Never been sick or sorry. Great for dentist, farrier, clipping and loading. We bought Jon as a project, now he’s ready to further is education with someone else. Fit and ready to go. Please see video below
