A very special horse who combines quality, temperament and exceptional Irish breeding—a difficult type to find. Alton is a quality traditional Irish Draught with an amazing temperament and the most outstanding, willing attitude. He boasts fantastic traditional Irish breeding. He is by King Alton, whose pedigree includes Merry Mate, Merry Gold, Shanes Pride and Kildalton Son. His dam, Jillians Lady, brings further established Irish Draught bloodlines through Shanavour Pride, Woodland Boy and Rosheen Yeats.

Alton is currently taking part in hound exercise in the uk where he is proving sensible, genuine and thoroughly enjoyable. He hunted a few days in Ireland last year before I bought him. He was quite raw when we got him, but he’s developed into a beautiful horse. He always wants to please and approaches everything asked of him with a fantastic outlook. A lovely, straightforward horse with no problems, Alton would make a superb hunter or quality all-rounder for someone wanting a genuine horse with plenty of presence. I actually love the fact that he hasn’t had too much haunting in Ireland as they take to English hunting quicker. I used to specialise in Hunters many years ago and this guy would be one of the best by Far. Please see video below
