Description

Toby is an incredibly scopey, quality all-rounder, who particularly excels out hunting.

‘Toby’ is an incredibly scopey, quality all-rounder, who particularly excels out hunting. Produced by a petite teenage jockey over the past 3 years, he is now heartbreakingly outgrown. Toby was our first pony and has been incredibly rewarding. During his time with us, he has attended all Pony Club rallies, including stay-away camp, regularly hunted, evented, and taken part in a wide range of Pony Club activities. He is completely bombproof to hack, both alone and in company, fantastic in open spaces, and regularly hacks on busy roads proving safe and sensible in traffic. He takes everything in his stride and absolutely adores his hunting. Toby has jumped up to 1.15m with ease and confidently schools round courses of 90cm, showing plenty of scope for a competitive home. He can have time off and remains safe and sensible when brought back into work. While Toby is exceptionally talented and always wants to please, he can be a typical Welsh pony on the ground if not kept in consistent work, so requires a knowledgeable, kind, and competent handler. He is good to shoe, load, travel, and for the dentist, and does not buck, rear, or bolt. Happy to live out 24/7, although currently stabled overnight in winter. Up to date with vaccinations, worming, physio, and teeth. Please note: * Toby requires an annual stifle injection to keep him comfortable for the level of work he does * He requires oral sedation for clipping Toby will come with his bridle, saddle, and rugs. For the right person, Toby will make a phenomenal hunting or competition pony, with his flashy paces and careful, scopey jump. He is a forward-thinking ride, best suited to a confident rider to get the most out of him. No novices please. This is a truly heartbreaking sale of a much-loved pony, and we are keen to find him the very best home. Homes will be vetted. Priced at £8,500 to include bridle, saddle, and rugs. Based Nr Trowbridge – excellent viewing facilities with school & jumps, plus direct access onto a bridle path Hundreds of photos and videos available on request.
