    Talented 9yo TB gelding with a lovely temperament and potential for grassroots competition.

    Diamond is a 9-year-old Thoroughbred who last raced in July 2023. Since retiring from racing, he has been carefully and gradually retrained, and is now well established both on the flat and over jumps. Despite having relatively low competition mileage, he is confidently working through all the exercises required at Elementary level dressage and is jumping up to 1.00m. He has also been cross-country schooled successfully and has shown a willing and capable attitude throughout his training. Diamond hacks alone and in company, is sensible in open spaces, and is straightforward to handle on the ground. He is happy living either in or out. He does, however, have a crib-biting habit, which is reflected in his price. While he would make an enjoyable and reliable happy hacker, I believe Diamond would particularly suit a teenager or adult amateur looking for a competition partner. He has all the attributes to develop into a successful grassroots horse and would thrive in a home where he can continue his education and progress.
