The Kent Hounds Hunt Groom /Kennel Assistant

The Kent Hounds seek a full-time permanent Groom/Kennel Assistant, to join their cheerful team at modern Kennels in Elham Kent. Duties include the daily care of Hunt horses throughout the year, turning them out to a high standard for trail-hunting and summer parades and events. Also, assisting the Huntsman with the care and exercise of hounds. The ideal candidate will be hard working and reliable, experienced in riding and handling fit horses and able to care for them independently. Previous experience in handling hounds is not a necessity, but a genuine love of horses, hounds and country life is essential, together with the ability to be adaptable and work in a team. Applicants should hold a Full UK Driving Licence Modern, warm and self-contained accommodation, including utilities, is available, together with a competitive salary and pension scheme.
