We purchased Bear last summer for our teenage daughters to finish producing, both experienced riders. Over the last 10 months She has been very much part of our busy family and loved by everyone. She is a kind, affectionate pony - very un-mareish in her manner. Bear hacks nicely in company and alone, has done lots of pony club rallies, hound exercising, fun rides, farm rides, arena hires and attended her first SJ competition where she produced 2 lovely clear rounds and placed in both classes. Bear also won her class at a recent hunter trial, qualifying for the hunter trial championships at Eland Lodge later this year. We’d love to find an experienced home for Bear so she can achieve her full potential. We believe she will go very far with the right partner. Bear has a Welsh pony brain, so can be nervous in new situations/ environments. She is quickly reassured and is never nasty - no kicking, biting, bucking, rearing or tanking off. She is handled regularly by younger children and has been ridden by novice family & friends. She is happy to live in or out (currently stabled at night, out during the day) and will live with mares or geldings. She’s great to catch, load and is bare foot (good for farrier). We are all incredibly fond of Bear and are very excited for her future.
