Description

Bookkeeper / finance assistant to join Glaze & Gordon - heritage country & equestrian retailer.
We’re looking for an organised, detail-driven & proactive individual to join Glaze & Gordon on a part-time, hourly basis. This is initially a virtual role & can be fitted around other work or commitments, although we would like it to be on set days & times of the week. Glaze & Gordon is a heritage country & equestrian retailer, primarily based online, with a presence at selected eventing & countryside shows across the UK, and a new business in the US. We are known for our high-quality, unique products & excellent customer service. We are growing & have ambitious plans for 2027, & as we expand our small team, we are seeking someone who is excited to be part of this next phase of development. This is primarily a bookkeeping & finance role. The successful candidate will work closely with the founders & play a key role in managing the finances of both our UK & US businesses. Responsibilities will include: bookkeeping | bank reconciliation | invoice processing & collation | supplier payments | financial reporting support | VAT & year-end preparation support | liaising with our accountants. For the right candidate, there is also the option to get involved in the operational side of the business, including: product ordering | purchase orders | inventory control | supplier coordination. This is entirely optional, so please don’t let it put you off applying if your strengths lie purely in bookkeeping & finance. The successful applicant will need: experience with Xero (essential), strong bookkeeping & numerical skills, excellent attention to detail, the ability to work independently & manage their own time, strong organisational & problem-solving abilities, good communication skills, & a willingness to get involved & take initiative (a “can-do” attitude is essential!). Experience with Shopify would be a great addition, & purchase order/inventory experience is an advantage but not essential. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys keeping finances in order & would like to be involved in the growth of a heritage brand in the UK & beyond. If this sounds of interest, please get in touch.
