16.1 Gelding – Fun, Genuine All-Rounder – RC / Hunt / XC / Whip’s Horse

Bishop is a 16.1hh, 13 year old bay gelding and a much loved horse, offered for sale as offered for sale as the children are moving on and we want him to continue his busy, varied life. He is a smart, athletic horse who thrives on variety and has whipped in with hunt staff and my son this season, happy to go all day and get on with the job. He is a fun, capable and genuine ride who enjoys hunting both in the field and whipping-in, and is excellent across country, happily jumping ditches, hedges, wire and water. He also really enjoys clinics, pole work and arena work and will have a go at anything asked of him, making him a lovely all-rounder who would suit a hunting, riding club or eventing type home. At home he hacks alone and in company and is a pleasure to have on the yard, coming when called and easy to manage day to day. He is good to load on both lorry and trailer, good for the farrier, dentist, physio, washing, grooming and to hog, and is happy turning out with mares, geldings or alone. He has no stable vices. He is not a novice ride as he can be fresh and enjoys his work, so would suit someone wanting a fun, forward horse to get out and do things with. He thrives on being kept busy and benefits from a varied life with a job to do. To be completely open, he requires Domosedan for a full clip and has previously had kissing spine surgery several years ago, from which he has fully recovered and has been in consistent work since. He has been a super horse for our son and this is a genuinely sad sale, so finding the right home where he will be enjoyed and kept busy is the priority.
