The ultimate allrounder

Donald is everything you would want in an allrounder. 16.3, grey gelding, 10yr Irish sports horse. He is happy tuning his hoof to anything. He is a safe and uncomplicated ride. A beautiful hack, brilliant in heavy traffic and well used to farm machinery. He’s excellent to hack alone and in company, in open spaces. He’s never sharp or spooky. He’s brilliant to lead off. Donald showjumped before we bought him he has lovely ring craft and has been produced beautifully in this phase, will jump all fillers and water trays, never says no. We have evented Donald which we all enjoyed. He is great on the flat, he is rideable with established lateral work and transitions. Cross country he is epic, he’s straight and true to combinations, lines and skinny’s. He is quick without being strong. He loves this phase and would move up the levels quickly. Hunting, this has mainly been Donald’s job since we bought him. He has whipped in for a season, never putting a foot wrong, jumped all types of country, he is quick and clever in trappy country and is one of the best horses to jump a hedge, always looking after his jockey, excellent with hounds. He has been hunted by a man and a lady and has lead a pony. On the ground he is easy to do in every way. He’s great to load and will stand on the box, he's great to catch, clip and shoe. He prefers living out as all ours live out. He’s happy in a heard or on his own. Loves attention and will stand for hours being groomed. He would make a brilliant mother daughter share. One for all the family. This is a really heartbreaking sale of a much loved horse but lack of time forces sale.
