14.1hh 4YO Gelding

A charming 4YO, standing at 14.1hh, who has been quietly backed by his breeder in 2025. He has taken to ridden life like a duck to water and has proven to be a kind, willing and genuine young pony with a lovely attitude. He is out of an Irish mare and sired by Whiteleaze Doulton (riding pony), giving him a great foundation and potential for a variety of disciplines. Otis has a full, known history and was purchased directly from his breeder, where he was was adored. He is used to young children, farm animals, dogs, and takes everything in his stride. He spent time at the end of winter being schooled by a competent 13 YO rider, where he popped his first jumps. Since being with us he has had regular flatwork lessons, lots of hacking (good in traffic and open spaces) and has been to arena hires & started jumping, proving willing and eager to please. Good to clip, load, handle & great for the farrier. He is a forward-thinking young pony who enjoys his work and is always eager to please, perfect for someone looking to produce a fantastic pony. My daughter absolutely adores him, however, as he's become fitter and stronger over the last few months we’ve sadly began to realise he is perhaps a bit too much of a step up from her previous pony. Being only 4 he does have the odd baby moment as you would expect, never nasty or horrible & thinking sensibly we’ve decided in the best interest of Otis to find him a more suitable, older jockey who is more competent in riding younger ponies to continue his education. This is a truly heartbreaking sale, as he is treasured by everyone, but his future and confidence are our priority.
