Doongara- Striking 16.2hh 10yo Black Mare

A beautiful British-bred Warmblood mare with all the attributes to make an exciting showjumping horse. Known at home as ‘Dolly’, she is naturally careful, scopey and genuine, with plenty of ability to progress with her next rider. Having recently started her British Showjumping career, she made an impressive start at her first stay-away show, with two double clears finishing 2nd in the Foxhunter and 5th in the Members Cup (1.15m). She is proving to be a very consistent, confidence-giving mare who looks ready to continue collecting double clears and progress through the classes. Dolly has previously evented successfully up to Novice level, achieving multiple double clears, top-10 placings and winning the BE100 at Kingston Maurward. This has given her an excellent education, but it has become clear that her real talent lies in the showjumping arena, where her careful technique and scope really shine. She is very well established on the flat with positive comments from the dressage judges in each test, working correctly in all three paces, and hacks both alone and in company. She is good in traffic and also happy across open countryside. In the stable Dolly can be a little mare-ish and may pull the occasional face, but she is straightforward to handle. She does weave around feeding and turning out time in the stable, which is easily managed with a stable grill. She is clean-legged with no lumps or bumps or medical history.
