Orlagh is a 16.3hh, 7-year-old Full Irish Draught mare by Moyough Legacy out of Dowdstown Belle by Crosstown Dancer. If you've always overlooked chestnut mares, Orlagh deserves a second look. She is about as un-marish as they come and is the same horse every day. Honest, willing and straightforward, she is a genuine pleasure to have around and is practically a gelding in disguise. She would make a fantastic grassroots event horse but has equally shown real quality in the dressage arena. She has competed successfully at EI90 and has recently completed at Elementary dressage, producing three quality paces and showing plenty of scope to continue progressing through the levels. She is brave and genuine to a fence, taking her rider confidently without becoming strong or silly. She is a substantial Irish Draught, so you know you're sitting on a proper horse, but she is never complicated and always wants to do the right thing. She would suit someone wanting to be competitive at grassroots eventing, Riding Club, Pony Club or dressage, whilst equally making a fantastic all-rounder for someone who simply wants a quality horse to enjoy. She is easy to catch, shoe, clip, load and travel, has no vices and is a pleasure to handle both on the ground and under saddle.
