Mac 16.3hh - white Irish passport (breeding unrecorded) 15 years old (2011) Hack/hunt/mother’s/husband’s horse

Great to hack in company and alone, a nice forward ride with snaffle mouth, good brakes and listens to leg. I’ve done limited schooling with Mac due to my set up but he clearly has as he’s nicely reactive and does have signs of a little lateral work, if a bit rusty. Fine in all traffic/machinery, open spaces, dogs, cows, sheep etc. Pops a little jump and flies a ditch - not something I have pushed but he seems to enjoy it! The same if you ride once a day or once a month, he doesn’t change. Mac is much more forward in lots of company/big parties (we’ve done lots of Scottish Common Riding) so needs a more competent rider at these types of events Fine with farrier/dentist and to load/travel/clip (fidgety with legs). His ideal life is living out 24/7 at a nice quiet set up. Mac is a big horse who enjoys routine so experienced homes only who will understand horses take time to settle. An absolute baby when it comes to needles. Nothing dangerous, you just need a decent swift vet, no faffing and a distraction (your best Likit!) for any needles. He can sometimes be a bit sensitive about lifting his feet and is much better if this is routine, with positive reinforcement (foot = treat). Barefoot, vaccinated, teeth up to date. Has mild sweetitch which is controlled very well by the Insol vaccine (£125 for a years coverage). I do nothing else other than normal fly sprays. One piece of veterinary history, fully resolved and requiring no further maintenance to be discussed with genuinely interested parties.
