Genuine ROR All Rounder

Easy retired sound from training with Paul Nicholls after showing little interest in racing and he has since proved himself to be a willing all-rounder away from the track. Due to changes in personal circumstances rather than any fault of his own, he remains relatively low mileage for his age. He has competed successfully in dressage, hunter trials, arena eventing and one-day events, taking everything in his stride. He won his first arena eventing competition and enjoys jumping and cross-country. He has also hunted beautifully with the BV, standing quietly at the meet and happily taking his place wherever asked, whether at the front, middle or back of the field. He is a pleasure to take out and about, travelling well in both lorry and trailer, standing quietly, loading easily and behaving impeccably at shows and clinics. He is good to clip, shoe and handle, turns out happily with other horses and is a really easy horse to have on the yard. He hacks confidently on roads and tracks and is sensible in traffic, tractors etc. However, when hacking alone in large open spaces he can become tense if something unexpected catches him by surprise, so he is not a horse for a nervous or novice rider. This is not an issue when riding with company and he is completely relaxed at shows, clinics, cross-country schooling and competitions. He is not a sharp or silly TB and does not require daily riding. He remains the same horse whether ridden every day or after a break. This is a sad sale of a much-loved horse due to personal circumstances. We are looking for a home where he will continue to enjoy plenty of turnout, companionship and a varied life. He would suit someone wanting a genuine all-rounder for riding club activities, eventing, hunting, dressage, arena eventing, hunter trials and fun days out.
