Thatbeatsbanagher, 2014 Thoroughbred gelding

Thatbeatsbanagher aka Barney 11-year-old Thoroughbred gelding by Flemensfirth. Barney raced until the end of May 2023, when he tore his tendon, but he is now completely sound and has never had any issues since being brought back into work. He was brought back into work in January 2024 and has been steadily working since with no problems. He is a lovely horse to ride, always ridden in a snaffle and willing to try anything he is asked. He is good to hack on his own or in company and has three nice paces. He has also attended a few small shows. Barney really enjoys jumping and has a very honest and careful jump. He has not done much outside of racing, but when he has, he has been bold and willing. With more work, he would excel in any discipline with time, but he loves jumping and enjoys having variety in what he does. He is great in open spaces and in traffic and is good for the farrier. He is also great with children running around. But does not have much experience out competing, and he would not be a novice ride. Barney weaves in the stable and has done all his life, but it has no effect on him. He is a great horse to have around and can be pulled straight out of the field. He does not get silly or fresh when he has not been ridden. He is currently owned and ridden by a 17-year-old and is only for sale due to lack of time. He will only go to the best of homes.
