Young horse with a big future ahead

17hh - 7yo - ISH Prince arrived with us to get a few more miles on the clock before finding his next person — and he’s been busy updating his CV ever since. He’s been XC schooling, on hunt rides and hound exercise, and has made it pretty clear that this is a horse who enjoys having a job to do. If you’ve got a red coat hanging in the wardrobe, Prince would very much like to discuss employment opportunities. He’s super around hounds, will go off on his own and has all the ingredients to make a seriously smart hunt staff horse. THE SENSIBLE STUFF On the flat he has three nice paces, basic lateral work and an incredible walk — the sort of walk that actually gets you somewhere before everyone else has finished their flask. He LOVES his jumping and has plenty of ability, but he does require confidence from his rider. He’s not looking for a passenger — more of a co-pilot who agrees that the best view is sometimes from the other side of a sizeable hedge. At home, he’s an absolute gentleman. Super easy to handle in and out of the stable and a saint on the box. No unnecessary drama, no interpretive dance at the ramp. He’s clean limbed, quality and full of presence, and with that walk and his stamp, he’d more than hold his own in hunter classes too. Prince is the sort I can genuinely see crossing some serious country this season, then taking you home again and being your best mate the following morning. He is best suited to a home who can continue to take his education further, he benefits a rider who can fill him of confidence. 17hh of Irish horsepower, good manners and a slight suspicion that he was born for a red coat.
