Future Grassroots Eventing Star ⭐️

9yo, 15hh, Gelding. Welsh sect D x Oldenburg. Competitive grassroots horse, all rounder, mother-daughter share, pony club home or small adult wanting to do grassroots activities. Jed excels at everything he turns his hoof to. Prelim and Novice BD and PC dressage tests scoring 67% and above, recently receiving a score of 28 at Chillington Hall’s GoBE class, putting him into 3rd in a class of 31. Square halt every time. Would equally suit a dressage home as he moves so beautifully. Jed’s jump makes you smile whilst leaving all the poles up! He is competitive at unaffiliated 80 and 90, with bags of scope to go 100. He will happily go off any stride, and is rhythmical and adjustable to a fence. He is not bothered by use of ‘get of of jail cards’. He has competed in unaffiliated one day events, pony club events and a GoBE80 class. He had qualified in 2025 at PC area eventing for the regional championship, and also at area dressage in 2023/4. He is still learning the eventing ropes (competing at 80), but is taking to it well and loves a day out. The right rider will have no bother qualifying him for events such as Badminton grassroots and the Pony Club JCB champs. Jed will hack alone, if he knows the route, but loves company. Easy to catch and loves his people and attention. He really is a kind hearted horse. Jed likes to have a friend in a horse that he can trust and gain confidence from. He thrives in routine, consistent work and company. Has been turned out in herds and will get along with anyone. Jed has been professionally schooled during May and June, whilst I was finishing at university, to fitten him and prepare him for sale. He is ready to go and enjoy the rest of the summer. Super relaxed at competitions, often falls asleep in warmups! Has done pony club camp, rallies and competitions for years, racking up his admirers every time he goes out. Not a beginners horse, due to throwing the rare excitable shape after a fence, and very slightly more difficult to handle in the winter, but not a problem with consistent work. Will need oral sedation for the first couple of winter clips. Good to load but prefers not to stand on the lorry at competitions, however is easy to hold/graze when unloaded. I have owned him for 5 years and he is for sale as I am at university and do not have time to keep him in work in the winters. Very sad sale of a much loved family pet. I know him inside and out.
