WANTED - Top class groom/estate management - Cheltenham/Gloucester, Gloucestershire

Our existing live in groom is leaving to train to be a teacher and her role is available from mid August. Horse wise we seek attention to detail and a desire for organisation; usual yard duties plus turn out for hunting and driving 7.5 tonne lorry. Some basic riding/lunging though not essential, some opportunities to autumn hunt if desired. Estate wise it is use of quad, topper, poo sweeper, mower and strimmer, to look after the paddocks, lawns and arena. We can train you but an idea about machinery is needed. There might be the odd school run for my 10 year old son. Ideally the candidate will have experience in the above and be self motivated as much of the work is sole charge and alone. Package depends on if accommodation is needed. If yes, minimum wage less £77 pw for house inc council tax. If not, wage depending on experience. Live in or out, employed position. C. 5 hours per day or greater when owners are on holiday (plus dog cover). Must be reliable. Owner can help with finding other work locally in addition. Accommodation is own, beautiful Cotswold cottage on the estate, 2 beds, own garden. Well behaved dog allowed, sorry no horse space but livery yard within 0.5 mile. Current groom recommends and has been part of our family living on site but her love lies with the children (hence the teaching change of career!) rather than horses and the children no longer need her so much.
