Quality thick set TB

Red is a lovely old fashioned chap who has come from a private home who was no longer able to keep him. He is a 16.1/16.2hh real old-fashioned look, classic hunter type , chunky eye- catching and temperament to die for! He is 7 years old. He retired from racing in May 2024 and went into a retraining yard to start his new chapter. They did lots of hacking, schooling and jumping with him and he's been given a lovely foundation to start his new career. He has since wintered out amd hasn't done much riding since before Xmas, but is now back in full work and is loving having a job to do. He goes really nicely in the arena, has done tonnes of hacking and been on fun rides , away to schooling shows and takes absolutely everything in his stride. He's a really thick set chap who gives a lovely feel under saddle. He tries so hard and is just a genuinely nice chap to have around. Hacks out alone or in company, happy to lead or go behind. Perfect lead horse for young horses. He has 3 balanced paces, and works beautifully, really flashy and so effortless! Raced over jumps, and is very bold in his jumping, jumped barrels and rustic fences, and started showjumps, very willing with a fantastic attitude He would suit an ambitious amateur or competent teenager looking to do more or a mother-daughter share. Great in open fields; will walk, trot or canter whatever you ask him to do. Go in front or behind , go steady or pick up the pace. This has been a really tough decision for his previous owner and we're keen she is able to keep in touch. Has been seen to crib mildly at feed times. Based near Aberporth West Wales.
