Jack is such a wonderful character; he is a real jumping machine, neat and very careful over fences. He’s a delight to have around the place and is very mannerly. He has jumped coloured poles on grass and in the school and also simulated XC up to 90cm, including skinnies, brushes, roll tops etc and anything you point him at in the hunting field! He can be strong out hunting, but stands quietly at the meet and waits his turn to jump and for gates. I have hunted him in a snaffle. He is amazing to clip. He is barefoot with me as feet are in great condition. Can get a little itchy previously on legs with mites, but injections have sorted that and I have had no issues since. He's great to travel, alone or in company, but will argue with you to load occasionally if on his own. I've only had him in a trailer, but has travelled in a lorry with previous owner. He hacks quietly around our fields and lanes and has met with heavy farm machinery, he's mostly hacked out in company as takes a lot of confidence of other horses, he is also happy to be lead of another horse. Jack can be a bit cheeky on occasions, he has a small buck on him, which is more of a playful protest, usually while jumping, rather than to get you off so would not suit a novice. This pony will give some ambitious, gutsy child bucket loads of fun or equally a small adult.
