Stallions For Sale/Standing At Stud
Description
Showjumping and event bred with exceptional bloodlines. If you’re looking to add a quality stallion to your breeding programme, Star is a real head-turner who brings proven performance breeding and presence. He has three correct, balanced paces and a natural “look at me” presence with plenty of wow factor. Although dressage has not been his primary focus, Star has lightly competed BD at Prelim and Novice, consistently scoring high 60s to 70%, regularly receiving 7.5+ for his paces. He qualified for the Prelim Gold Summer Regionals in his first two outings of the 2026 season. Lateral work is well established to Elementary level, and he has begun working towards Medium level movements at home. He is light, responsive to the aids, and shows natural ability for collected work, with clear potential to progress further in pure dressage. Star has the brain and bravery to event. While we are not event riders and have not pursued this ourselves, he has been cross-country schooled and proved bold and unfazed. As a 5-year-old, he competed in FEI age classes on the Sunshine Tour in Portugal as a showjumper. However, with several young horses in work and other commitments, he has had a relatively easy life competing at lower levels and has not been pushed to his full potential. He has the scope, attitude, and ability to go far in whichever discipline his new home chooses. He is safe enough for an amateur, handled daily by small women, and is straightforward in all routine handling. Good to clip Hacks well alone and with others Good to travel (lorry with others or alone) Calm and sensible in the collecting ring Easy to handle on the ground Star has had a quieter period over the last couple of years due to family commitments, work, moving yards, and a hunt season, so he has not been kept in peak competition fitness. He covers naturally (not dummy trained), though this should be straightforward to introduce if required. His first crop of youngsters are now starting to be backed, and we’re excited to see them develop. A quality stallion with proven breeding, trainable temperament, and huge potential for sport or breeding. Please see video below
