Exceptionally talented hunter/ alrounder with lots of quality combined with a superb kind temperament!

Tom is one in a million who has so much class, quality and potential with the most amazing temperament to match. He is a registered Irish Draught, with outstanding Irish Draught breeding including - Ginger Dick, Welcome Flagmount, Holycross & his sire - Inisfree the Holy Grail. He is the perfect stamp of a horse, combining quality and bone. He is a real weight carrier with a lovely deep girth and good length of neck. He would suit a man or lady as he adapts well to his rider. He has excellent conformation, clean limbs and straight movement. He passed a 5 stage vetting back in July 2024 when his current owner purchased him. He is a very desirable type as he is the perfect hunter yet he is also a fabulous talented alrounder. Tom works nicely in the school on the flat. He has a lovely relaxed way of going with super movement and elasticity. He has three very good paces. He is soft in the hand and works very nicely up to the contact from between leg and hand into a natural outline. He is a lovely medium speed to ride, being responsive to transitions. He has been ridden by a tall light weight girl as well a mature gentleman so adapts well to different riders. He is good to ride away from home at new venues. He has competed at a few preliminary dressage competitions in Ireland where he was well placed with scores in the high 60’s. He has lots of potential to work his way through the dressage levels and affiliate BD as he is such a good moving horse with lots of scope within his paces. Tom loves his jumping and makes a nice scopey shape. He is forward going into a fence and is very honest and genuine to jump. He is very bold and jumps all fillers and water trays first attempt confidently. He has been out to lots of training shows and arena hires where he has been jumping 1m courses with ease. He has also done a small bit of competing in Ireland around 90cm. He would also excel at riding club level and be perfect to take on jumping clinis/ camp ect. Tom is equally as bold over xc jumps. He really enjoys going xc and has plenty of pace to make the time at events as he covers so much ground. He jumps everything asked of him including ditches and water complexes. He has done lots of xc schooling and a few hunter trails. He is a very honest dependable horse who always gets round clear and is lots of fun. He has so much potential to excel as an eventer as he is very good at all 3 disciplines. Tom is lovely to hack both alone and in company. He is excellent in traffic and very confident in his own skin. He is good in open spaces and loves a good canter along the river bank or through a stubble field. He has been on pleasure rides in Ireland where he was super and took it all in his stride. He has hunted in Ireland with the Maynooth and Leitham harriers where he was well behaved and bold. He would really excel as a hunter in this country, he has the size, bone, athleticism, bravery, scope and temperament. Tom has a super temperament. He has such a zest for life and is always a very happy boy. He loves people and will make someone an amazing best friend. He is always good to catch and lead in. He loves all the attention of being groomed and pampered. He is very easy to handle in all ways. He lives in and out and is happy be turned out next to or in with other horses, has mixed with mares and geldings. This is a very sad sale of my clients special horse. His owner is now in his 70’s and has reached the end of his riding days. He is the ultimate alrounder/hunter that would do a lot of jobs.
